Bank Statement Converter

Convert a PDF bank statement to CSV or Excel — the whole thing runs in your browser, so your financial data is never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. 1
    Add your PDF statement

Drop a PDF bank statement or tap to choose. It stays on your device.

  2. 2
    Convert

We read the PDF's text in your browser and rebuild the transaction table.

  3. 3
    Check the preview

Review the extracted rows and columns before exporting.

  4. 4
    Download CSV or Excel

Export to CSV or XLSX and open it in Excel, Google Sheets or your accounting tool.

  5. 5
    Nothing is uploaded

The PDF is parsed entirely in your browser. There is no server that ever sees your statement.

Your statement never leaves your device

Most "bank statement to Excel" tools upload your PDF to their servers — which is exactly what you don't want for a document full of account numbers and transactions. This one is different: it uses your browser's own PDF engine to read the statement locally and rebuild the table. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Drop a PDF, and it extracts the rows and columns and lets you download clean CSV or Excel for bookkeeping, expense tracking, or importing into accounting software.

How to convert a bank statement to Excel

Export or download your statement as a PDF from your bank's website (most banks offer a PDF download). Add it here and press Convert — the tool reads the text layout and reconstructs the columns (date, description, amounts, balance) into a table you can preview and export.

Because it works on the PDF's real text, it's fast and accurate on digital statements. If your PDF is a scan or photo of a paper statement, there's no text to extract — you'd need an OCR step, which this tool doesn't do yet.

Is it safe to convert a bank statement here?

Yes — safer than most alternatives. Your statement is parsed on your own device using code running in your browser tab. It is never uploaded, stored, or transmitted. Close the tab and it's gone. You can confirm this in your browser's Network tab: you'll see no upload of your file.

Column detection is a best-effort reconstruction from the PDF's text positions, so unusual layouts may need a quick manual tidy-up in your spreadsheet after export.

Frequently asked questions

Is my bank statement uploaded to a server?+

No. The PDF is read and converted entirely in your browser. It never leaves your device — which is the whole point for something this sensitive.

What formats can I export?+

CSV and Excel (XLSX). Both open in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, and accounting tools.

Why didn't my scanned statement work?+

Scanned or photographed statements are images with no selectable text, so there's nothing to extract. This tool works on digital PDFs; OCR for scans isn't supported yet.

The columns look slightly off — why?+

The table is reconstructed from the text positions in the PDF, and unusual layouts can be tricky. It's usually a quick fix in your spreadsheet after exporting.

Does it work for any bank?+

It works on any digital PDF statement with selectable text. Layouts differ between banks, so results vary, but most common statements convert cleanly.
