SSC Photo & Signature Resizer

Resize your photo to 275×354 px (20–50 KB) and signature to 140×60 px (10–20 KB) — the exact SSC CGL requirements, in one step. No upload.

Target: 275 × 354 px · 20–50 KB · Recent colour photo, plain light background.

How to use it

  1. 1
    Pick photo or signature

Switch between the two SSC specs at the top — each has its own exact size preset built in.

  2. 2
    Add your image

Drop a file, paste, or tap to pick from your phone gallery or camera.

  3. 3
We resize + fit the size

It's scaled to the exact pixel dimensions SSC wants, then compressed to land inside the KB range automatically.

  4. 4
    Download

Save the JPG and upload it straight to the SSC OTR / application portal.

  5. 5
    Nothing is uploaded

The whole thing runs in your browser. Close the tab and every trace of your image is gone — there is no server that ever sees it.

Why SSC uploads get rejected

The SSC one-time registration (OTR) portal checks both the pixel dimensions and the file size of your photo and signature, and it rejects anything outside the exact window. Candidates routinely fail here: their photo is the right size in KB but the wrong dimensions, or the right dimensions but 300 KB, and the portal just says "invalid image".

This tool does both constraints together. Photo goes to 275×354 px at 20–50 KB; signature to 140×60 px at 10–20 KB. You don't have to guess at a resizer and a separate compressor and hope the combination lands in range.

How to resize a photo for SSC CGL

Select the Photo tab, add a recent passport-style colour photo with a plain light background, and the tool scales it to exactly 275 × 354 pixels, then compresses it to sit between 20 KB and 50 KB. It fills the frame and centre-crops any overflow, so there are no white bars around your face.

If your photo is very wide or very tall, crop it close to a head-and-shoulders portrait first — that way the centre-crop keeps your face framed correctly rather than cutting it.

How to resize your signature for SSC CGL

Sign on plain white paper with a black pen, scan or photograph it in even light, then select the Signature tab and add it. The tool fits it to 140 × 60 px on a white background and compresses to 10–20 KB. Signatures are just dark strokes on white, so they stay perfectly legible at this size.

Don't sign in capital letters, and keep the signature inside the frame — SSC specifically checks for both.

Frequently asked questions

What is the exact photo size for SSC CGL?+

275 × 354 pixels, file size between 20 KB and 50 KB, in JPG format, with a plain light background. This tool's Photo preset targets exactly that.

What is the SSC signature size?+

140 × 60 pixels, 10 KB to 20 KB, JPG, black ink on white paper. Use the Signature tab here to hit it.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?+

No. All resizing and compression happens inside your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, so your documents stay private.

The portal still says my image is invalid — why?+

Double-check you used the right tab (Photo vs Signature), that the background is plain and light, and that the photo is a recent colour photo. Also confirm the dimensions against your current SSC notice, since specs can change per cycle.

Can I use this for other exams too?+

The engine works for any dimensions, but the presets here are tuned for SSC CGL. UPSC, IBPS and Railway resizers with their own specs are coming.

Do I need separate tools for photo and signature?+

No — both are built into this one tool. Switch tabs at the top.
