Why signature uploads are so fussy
Signature fields almost always have their own, even tighter limit than the photo field — commonly 10 KB to 20 KB, with strict dimensions. Since a signature is just dark lines on white paper, it compresses extremely well, so a 10 KB cap is achievable without losing legibility.
The usual failure is scanning the signature in colour on an off-white page: the background texture eats your byte budget and the file won't shrink. This tool flattens the background to clean white first, so every byte goes to the strokes that matter.
